Materials Division
This division handles the inward and outward going materials. It is equipped with the latest material information software to keep the record of all the incoming and outgoing materials. This division works jointly with the production planning Department for procuring and storing the required materials as per Company standards.
Quality Control
The entire QC procedures from procurement of Components to despatch of a finished products are documented in Company Quality Manual designed based on IS / MIL / IPC etc. standards. The QC starts from selection of components of very high grade with appropriate derating. All inward components are inspected and screened with latest inspection test equipments such as IC testers, LCR Bridge, PCB Insp. equipment, Transformer tester etc. All Inspection and test equipments are calibrated by ETDC/ ERTL/ Govt. of India Lab.
The fabrication and assembly operations are subjected to workmanship standards such as IPC 770B, IPC 610 etc. The equipment manufactured by the Company undergo burn-in tests for 160 hr. at elevated temperatures in a walk-in chamber facility available in the Company. The designs finalised by R & D department undergo all the environmental tests like dry heat tests, temperature cycling humidity tests etc., in automatic controlled dry heat/Damp heat/Low temperature cycling Environmental chamber available in the Company. The QC procedure continues till the drop test is conducted on the final packed sample before despatch.
Machine Shop
EMEL has a full fledged in-house machine shop which takes care of design, development and manufacturing of casings for all products. It is equipped with the latest machines such as Milling Machine, Lathe Machine, Shearing Machine, Bending Machine, Power Press and Painting Booth etc.
The machine shop is supported by a computerized design center to design and develop enclosures to IP 54 protection with excellent out look using the latest release AUTO CAD software.
Research and Development
EMEL has a strong in-house R & D recognised by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, comprising of highly dedicated experienced engineers, with a desire to digest the latest technology. The entire product range of EMEL, is out of own R & D efforts. The products are continuously upgraded for technology so that the customer gets the best solution for price charged. R & D wing has environmental test facility to tropicalise the designs, so that the product is successfully tested for all types of environments before it is released to market.
The R & D is equipped with the latest state of the art development tools. Well organized structure of the department enables successful and early delivery of the product processed by the Project Group, Engineering Group, Hardware Cell, and Software Cell.
EMEL are pioneers in the field of Microprocessor based systems and power electronics. The R & D expert team has proved its capability by developing projects for Automobile Sector, Pollution Control, Satellite Testing Chamber, Power Instrumentation, Systems for Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants, Textile Loom Controllers and Processor based products for paper, fertilizer, sugar and cement Industry. The Power Electronic products developed by R & D such as Regulated Power Supplies, DC/DC Converters, Programmable Power Supplies, Battery Chargers have become very popular in Industry and defence establishments. EMEL R & D has won number of awards for Import Substitution and for bringing up innovative products.
Finance Department
EMEL has Computerised Financial Management facility headed by qualified eminent financial executives who advise and co-ordinate all departments in excellent financial management.
Marketing Department
EMEL's dynamic Marketing Team has been successful in introducting and supporting Bluechip customers like large Public and Private Sector Companies, Defence Establishments and Laboratories etc. The high tech products are marketed by promoting them through Key Exhibitions, Seminars and individual interactions. The Service Wing provides excellent after sale customer support. The Marketing Department works in excellant co-ordination with R&D / PRODUCTION / FINANCE.
